Earth Pan Hard Anodized Nonstick 12-Inch Skillet

Change name to Stick Pan, I tried this sandflow earth pan in the hopes that doing something for the environment would pay off. After using the pan for less than a few months and following the rules, food sticks worse to it than on any other cookware. Even with the use of a light oil coat, food still sticks and cleaning the pan is takes much work. Now I'm wondering if the manufacturer will recycle the pan.
Pan is not perfect, (What's this?) The first time I used it for omelets, it was great. But scrambled eggs with vegetables stick. The jury is still out.
Big Disappointment, (What's this?) My Earth Pan Hard Anodized Nonstick 10 inch skillet was a big disappointment. Because I have had many non-stick fry pans over the years and I realize that their life span is short even though we follow all the directions, I thought that this product seemed more durable and more able to fit my needs. I followed all the many directions for use (including ones we weren't warned about because we have a Corning stove top) but it was purchased August 18 online from Amazon, and here it is May 18, 2011 and a cast iron skillet compares favorably to it (and would have been much cheaper).
Pan Thrown Away, (What's this?)
Pleased and disappointed, (What's this?) This is a great product, but...
Not Non-Stick!, After using this pan only four times it no longer was non-stick!
I had to throw it away because residue of eggs would not come off.
Non-stick doesn't last :0(, If I had reviewed this product two months after purchase, it would have been filled with exclamations of how these pans far exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, after 6 months of moderate use, they are useless. The pan itself looks beautiful -- not a mark on it, but the non-stick surface no longer works. Very disappointed since I'd hoped I would be able to use something that would be healthier for my family and our bird.
Slippery pan, (What's this?) Arrived promptly, appears to work well. good for the egg eating low carb crowd. Time will tell how it holds up.
Good for 1month--NOT NON STICK long term, (What's this?) I purchased this for my husband so we could get rid of the old flaking teflon and wanted to go with something "Greener". My husband loves to make over easy eggs and for the first month this pan worked great, but now our eggs are sticking VERY badly. Even with butter or oil, we have sticking problems.

I wish it was the pan for us, but everything sticks now. So, I search on for a pan that isn't toxic and doesn't stick...because this one might be non toxic, but it does stick to food!

I never used any metal tools on it. I always hand washed, never used the dishwasher on it. I have treated this as a baby and can't believe my treatment of pan could have been the cause of the non stick no longer working.
not so non-stick, (What's this?) thsi pan worked great the very first time we used it, ever since it sticks, and the lable tells you you don't need butter or oil- but you really do.

The SandFlow coating does not contain PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, also known as the brand name Teflon) or PFOA (a key processing agent in making nonstick and stain-resistant materials, including Teflon)--both of which have raised health concerns in recent years. Laboratory animals exposed to high doses of PFOA suffered cancer, low birth weight, and a suppressed immune system, though PTFE-manufactured nonstick cookware is considered an insignificant exposure source of PFOA. The foundation of all Earth Pan cookware is the unique SandFlow nonstick coating that originates from sand--used to manufacture kitchenware like glass and silicone bakeware. Just like the nonstick pans you've used over the years, Earth Pan cookware is formulated to provide excellent food release without use of cooking oils, and the pans are easy to clean. Based on industry lab tests, SandFlow nonstick surfaces are three times more durable than ceramic-based surfaces and they require 33-percent less energy to cure than traditional nonstick pans. This skillet is dishwasher safe, though handwashing is recommended to ensure longevity. Metal utensils and abrasive cleaners or brushes should be avoided. Earth Pan's packaging material and inserts are made from at least 50-percent recycled fiber with all materials being 100-percent recyclable. Get serious about your cooking and your green credentials with this 12-inch hard-anodized skillet from Farberware's Earth Pan II line. Harder than stainless steel, the cookware's hard-anodized exterior is dense, nonporous, and highly wear-resistant for extra durability and professional performance, as well as quick and even heat distribution to help reduce hot spots. Oven-safe up to 600 degrees F, its dual riveted stainless-steel handle offers a comfortable, confident grip. Earth Pan cookware works on all cooking surfaces, except for induction cookers.
